FCA at the 2016 North American International Auto Show

FCA at the 2016 NAIAS used 5500m of our X-Ribbon Pixel LED Tapes to create one of the biggest automotive lighting displays that the Detroit Motor Show has ever seen.

The Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Mopar brands came together in an expansive multimedia experience in the new FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automoblies) US exhibition at the 2016 NAIAS.

The 60,000 square foot booth was the biggest show space within NAIAS this year. It features a totally new design unlike anything FCA has done in the past. It took more than one year of planning, designing & executing. The booth was designed by FCA; built by George P. Johnson, Metal Fabrication & LED Install by Litestructures Projects Ltd. All brands were brought together into a calibrated multimedia experience that came alive throughout the exhibit, including the walls, ceilings and video screens.

For Detroit's largest multimedia display, Litestructures designed, manufactured and built the bespoke ceiling mounted aluminium rings that house our RGB and White LED Pixel Tape. They contacted us at the Plasa 2015 show in October to discuss the upcoming project and told us they had to install and deliver the project by the end of November. This left us around 4 weeks to design, manufacture and deliver 4 brand new products to meet their requirements. As with all large projects this one did not come without it's share of speed bumps but we are proud of the final outcome and look forward working on similar projects in the future.
