HOPE by Aether & Hemera Studio, Durham

An installation to commemorate the WWI Centenary and “faith, humanity and resilience” of the people of County Durham.

''HOPE is composed by singularly addressable LED light tubes and speakers, to reveal dynamic lights and sounds patterns. The self-standing three-dimensional geometric shapes will cast complex luminous forms in the immediate surroundings while different voices will evoke the stories of local people during the war, creating an immersive emotional landscape.''

Working closely with Aether & Hemera we were asked to help provide them with a lighting solution that was both eye catching, easy to use and durable.

We decided to utilise our popular Hera LED Pixel tubes as they are a plug and play system as well as being IP rated and extremely bright. In total 144 tubes were used for the display and each one was individually addressed before the installation, to make putting it together even easier for the designers on site.

The Hera LED Pixel tubes can be supplied in 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m and 2m lengths and RGB or RGBW variants.
